SONAX relies on PLATZ® high-pressure technology

(PresseBox) - SONAX GmbH, headquartered in Neuburg at the Donau, is one of the leading manufacturers of chemical products and services for car care. For the production area of various polishes, PLATZ installed a wash-system that allows the cleaning of transport and mixing containers in an EX-protected area.

The cleaning system consists of a 2-pump rack, which has been equipped with only one pump of the type P10S. The system has the option of adding chemistry via a diaphragm pump in the inlet of the high-pressure pump. The pump unit itself has no EX-protection, therefore the whole rack was installed in a technical area 15 meters away from the washing area. The wash-head, the crane-system and operating panel are EX-secured and have been installed in the EX-protected area.

To clean the containers, a water hydraulic powered orbital washing head is used.

This is attached to a wash plate with a safety switch to cover the container opening. The setting up and setting down of the complete washing head plate is carried out by the operator. For this purpose, a pneumatically crane system was used.

At the operating panel the operator can also easily activate a manual high-pressure gun for the manual external cleaning of the containers. Via the high-pressure plug-in coupling system, the operator can connect the required lance to the high-pressure gun.

This year, PLATZ® was commissioned with the extension of the second pump into the rack, and the installation of a complete second wash station at a different area.
