The company is predicting that by 2019, more than 1.5 billion boarding passes will be issued via mobile to travellers, as opposed to the 746 million mobile passes expected to be delivered in 2018.

At Birmingham Airport, mobile data collection has been used to scan boarding passes, thus, saving time and helping employees manage the large number of passengers accurately.
