Prevent Occupational Road Accidents with RoSPA’s Training Course

Prevent Occupational Road Accidents with RoSPA’s Training Course

ID: 586905

Keep your drivers safe whilst they undertake courier work. A new training course from RoSPA will provide all the knowledge and skills required.

(firmenpresse) - The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, or RoSPA for short, plays a vital role in UK health and safety. Part of their work involves supporting organisations, businesses and other groups to become safer and healthier, including helping businesses to enhance the measures they have in place to protect their workers.

The occupational safety department at RoSPA provides a wealth of information and advice regarding good practice in the workplace, and can guide businesses and organisations through the process of improving the ways they can help prevent accidents.

For anyone in the courier work industry, the organisation has much to offer.

RoSPA Training

RoSPA run several training courses that provide essential information around the issue of occupational safety. These courses are affordable and highly regarded, with businesses and organisations all over the country taking advantage of the many on offer. As a fleet manager, offering these courses will demonstrate to your drivers that you are fully committed to their safety whilst they are out on the roads.

The UK’s leading safety organisation has trained over 10,000 people through the years, with many returning to undertake multiple courses. Led by industry experts this kind of learning is an excellent way to maximise the protection of anyone doing courier work.

Staying Safe on the Roads

For those undertaking courier work, having the proper training in place so they can be fully aware and competent on the roads is essential. The prevention of accidents on the road requires full cognisance of health and safety issues, something that RoSPA can provide plenty of information about.

New Year, New Training

It has been announced that Venson Automotive Solutions is set to host a new training course, designed by RoSPA, which will guide drivers undertaking courier work through the best practices and offer advice to stay safe on the roads.

‘Managing Occupational Road Risk’ will help those individuals who supervise or manage a fleet of vehicles gain the knowledge and skills needed to ensure they can guide drivers into good practice out on the roads. The aim is for managers and supervisors to achieve this by helping to shape the organisation’s culture, by changing the attitudes and approach of drivers performing courier work.

Legal and Practical Advice

Those participating in the course will be guided through the financial implications of an accident to a business or organisation, as well as the legal requirements around health and safety in the workplace. Following this, attendees will be offered some practical advice on how to manage drivers’ attitudes to safety and ways in which they can bring down costs and tackle road risk.

Along with the ones already on offer from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, this new course will prove an essential guide to occupational health and safety for those who manage drivers performing courier work, making for a safer and more inclusive industry all round.
