Ceramic Polymer: NORSOK M-501 - The Coatings for Offshore Requirements
Regarding suitability of protective coatings for the offshore industry, the system classification NORSOK M-501 is the most important standard for the assessment of product reliability. The specific coatings feature extreme mechanical resistances and provide long-lasting corrosion protection at durable sea water and weather exposure also within the tidal and splash zone

NORSOK M-501 - APPLICATION GUIDE
SYSTEM 1
NORSOK M-501, Edition 6
Structural steel and exteriors of equipment, vessels piping
and valves (un-insulated) at Operating temperature < 120 °C.
Application for 3-layer-system:
Ceramic-Polymer NK C5-1: 100 µm
Ceramic-Polymer NK C5-2: 120 µm
Ceramic-Polymer NK C5-3: 100 µm
TOTAL THICKNESS: 320 µm
SYSTEM 7B
NORSOK M-501, Edition 6
Submerged carbon and stainless steel, including the splash zone at Operating
temperature ≤ 50 °C.
Application for 2-layer-system:
Proguard M-ST1: 225 µm
Proguard M-ST2: 225 µm
TOTAL THICKNESS: 450 µm
The new coatings are certified as a 3-layer or 2-layer system, depending on requirements. They can be applied easily by airless or airmix spraying and also by conventional handtools.

Unternehmensinformation / Kurzprofil:
The Ceramic Polymer GmbH produces high-quality, solvent-free protective coatings for different kinds of industries. Due to the integration of microscopic ceramic and other special particles, coating systems with outstanding physical properties such as excellent chemical resistances, high temperature stabilities and extreme abrasion resistances are generated.
The Ceramic Polymer coatings are applied directly on the blasted substrate (e.g. steel, stainless steel, concrete) without the previous use of a primer. In this way extreme adhesion is achieved.
The scopes of the Ceramic Polymer coatings are for instance all kinds of storage tanks, pipelines or process vessels for the oil & gas industry as well as different maritime constructions, waste water or drinking water applications.
