Teaming up: BITZER and the Institute for Industrial Technology
(PresseBox) - The Institute for Industrial Technology (IIT) supports the Nigerian youth in the fight against poverty and unemployment and is now being supported by the specialist for refrigeration and air-conditioning technology BITZER.
On 25 January 2019, BITZER Nigeria and the Institute for Industrial Technology, a local refrigeration and air-conditioning training center in Lagos, Nigeria, cut the ribbon and celebrated the commence of a fruitful partnership: BITZER sponsored one of its ECOSTAR condensing units as well as HVAC accessories and tools. Together with First Class Group Ltd. (FCGL), a local Nigerian contractor, BITZER also supported in the installation of an air-conditioning cycle for the institute. Future collaboration will include the enhancement of the IIT?s refrigeration and air-conditioning curriculum as well as providing training for external HVAC industry stakeholders in the IIT's training room with BITZER equipment.
The Institute for Industrial Technology is a project of the non-profit organisation African Development Foundation. It addresses the problems of youth unemployment and poverty in Nigeria by offering technical vocational education and training to young locals. To be able to do so, it also offers technical services to the industry.
BITZER has been present with an own office in Nigeria since early 2017. With its office in Lagos, the specialist for refrigeration and air-conditioning technology has established a presence closer to users in West Africa and strengthens its support for business partners and users in the region. The company is also in the process of building a service center and warehouse in Lagos.
