Four New Contracts for Oil Productions
Milestone Group PLC ("Milestone" or the "Company"), the AIM quoted (AIM: MSG)
provider of digital media and technology solutions, is pleased to announce a
number of new contracts signed by its wholly owned subsidiary, Oil Productions
Limited ("Oil").
Oil, the multi-platform digital media design studio, has launched its latest
iPhone App "Magpie by Conran" for the Conran Group. The App, which has gone
live, is designed to allow ideas to be shared and collated by anyone involved in
creative decision making from designers and architects to wedding planners and
home improvers. The "Magpie by Conran" app reached number 1 in the utility
sector of the app store.
Scholastic, publishers of the hugely successful children's show "Horrible
Histories", has engaged Oil to develop a gaming strategy and a series of games
for The Horrible Histories virtual world. The team see this as an ongoing
relationship, giving Oil the opportunity to work with Scholastic to create a
multi-platform strategy which will allow for further opportunities to create
apps and games and exploit the format in other ways.
Oil is developing a new multi-platform food format, which currently has the
working title "App.etite", for publisher Eyemedia Ltd. The show will run across
iPad, iPhone and online. It employs the talents of Angela Hartnett, chef of the
year, as well as a suite of tools that allow recipes to be grabbed and stored
whilst watching TV food shows. The format is scheduled to launch in late
October.
Finally, Oil has also partnered with new agency Heretic to develop a digital
format for games publisher Activision. This will help to inform their internal
team about the power of digital media.
