W+D to hold its third Direct Mail Days event
From June 5-6, 2019 W+D will be presenting new technologies in the areas of direct mailing, envelope production and printing technology in Neuwied, Germany.
(firmenpresse) - At the third Direct Mail Days 2019 in Neuwied, W+D will once again be presenting the latest technologies and trends in direct mailing, envelope production and printing technology.
Over two days, participants can attend machine demonstrations and presentations to learn more about the latest developments in envelope production, digital printing and inserting systems from W+D as well as practical and creative direct mail applications on these systems.
W+D will also be premiering the W+D 628, which extends the W+D 627 envelope converting system and incorporates some of the best features of the successful W+D 410 Easy Enveloper. The W+D 628 includes technology enhancements of the W+D 410 that reduce change-over times and production waste on medium and long-run jobs. The W+D 201 flexo printing press’s new inline printing and LED UV coating enhancements will be demonstrated as well as the W+D BB700 S2 envelope inserting system that features a larger, easier-to-use HMI and faster input channel. The W+D Halm i-Jet 2 inkjet digital printing machine will also be on display.
Presenters will include Thomas Poremba, Managing Director of Impuls Advertising Agency in Hanover, Germany; Scott Evans, President of Kenmore Envelope in the United States; Pat Keogh, Vice President of UV / IR, AMS Spectral UV in the United Kingdom; Florian Süßl, a professor from Beuth University, Germany; Mike Theisen, Managing Director of Neuefeind GmbH, Germany, and Richard Kluthe, Marketing Manager of W+D in Germany.
Some of the sessions among others will include: “Direct mail in the marketing mix,” “Leading the way in creative high-end direct mail,” and “Advantages and economics of LED UV for high-speed, high-quality envelope printing.” The presenters will cover practical applications such as UV LEDs, implementing and meeting printing standards, reducing set-up times in flexo printing and innovations in digital printing.
W+D’s international partners will exhibit and present trends and products in the industry. The event is free and refreshments will be served. DMD will begin on June 5 at noon and end on June 6 with a factory tour. To register, go online to www.direct-mail-days.com by May 17, 2019.
