One of the most popular walks is the one that takes you up to the beautiful Albir Lighthouse.
Guadalest
Step into a charming picture postcard scene in this lovely medieval mountain town. You can spend hours simply wandering the streets soaking up the Moorish history of the town, and its vantage atop dramatic limestone cliffs adds to the ambience. The highlight is accessing the San Jose Castle, which is entered via an intriguing tunnel. Once you arrive out of the darkness of the tunnel, your reward is the jaw-dropping elevated vistas of the surrounding countryside.
Altea
Just a short distance along the coast is the gorgeous seaside town of Altea, which seems to take a giant leap back in time. Even though it’s quite popular with tourists, it’s still got the feel of a traditional Spanish fishing village, with its delightful Old Town and old-fashioned whitewashed houses. It’s not hard to while away a few hours in this lovely laidback town.
Puig Campana
If you like to climb high things, head to the mountain village of Finesrat and take on the challenge of Puig Campana! You’ll definitely need all day to make the most of this one, but it’s well worth the effort. As you ascend the heights of one of the region’s highest mountains, you’ll take in spectacular views, plenty of nature and may even encounter some local wildlife.

Because the Costa Blanca is such a popular destination there are plenty of flights from the UK, and getting from Alicante Airport to Benidorm is a doddle.
