Best Assembly Idea 2019 for VERPOSE®
(PresseBox) - A.R.T. GmbH's solution VERPOSE® wins first prize at the German Assembly Congress
The award "Best Assembly Idea" is given by a jury of leading experts and participants at the German Assembly Congress ("Deutscher Montage- Kongress") honoring intelligent technologies for assembly. In 2019 the German company A.R.T. GmbH wins the first prize for VERPOSE®, their new assembly solution for hand-held assembly tools.
VERPOSE® (VERify POSition) is a camera-based system for hand-held assembly tools (electrical screwdrivers, riveting tools, clinching pliers, filling devices and other special tools). A compact camera is mounted on top of the tool monitoring and VERifying the assembly POSition using image recognition and classification. After this verification step the tool is unblocked to ensure the correct assembly of e.g. screw joints.
Thus VERPOSE® enables reliable tool positioning in assembly processes. VERPOSE® supports a wide range of options for quality assurance and error prevention. Therefore it is optimally suited for mass production, e.g. in the automotive industry.
"One of the many advantages of VERPOSE® is the modularity of the system: by mounting our especially small camera in combination with the VERPOSE® software, the system can be quickly and easily adapted to a wide variety of tools and industrial requirements.
