CANgineII compatible with new Smart Tachographs

(PresseBox) - Since 15th June 2019 for every newly registered commercial vehicle over 3.5 tons it has been mandatory to be equipped with a 2nd generation digi-tal tachograph, a so-called smart tachograph.

ESS Embedded Systems Solutions GmbH is proud to announce that its products for downloading the tachograph data, CANgineII and CANgineII_BT, can also be used with the Smart Tachograph without a firmware update.

Only an update of the Software Library for Android devices is necessary. This process takes a minimum of time and no costs. The corresponding update is now available.

With the current software from ESS, it is possible to fulfill the archiving obligation for tachograph data when using smart tachographs.
