Spain: TÜV Rheinland acquires Certio ITV
Acquisition of Certio ITV, S.L.U., Spain / Business Stream Mobility: 12 new Periodical Technical Inspection centers
(PresseBox) - The German Group TÜV Rheinland announced the acquisition of Certio, a Spanish company dedicated on road safety and mobility. This strategic acquisition strengthens the Mobility business area with 12 new Periodical Technical Inspection (PTI) centers: two located in Menorca and 10 in Catalonia.
Certio is a reference company in the improvement of mobility and sustainable development, with a vocation for customer proximity, independence and the best technology. The company has a network of 12 PTI stations located in Catalonia and Menorca and employs 200 highly qualified and experienced people, producing an approximate turnover of 20 million euros.
TÜV Rheinland is a leading entity in technical, security and certification services worldwide. It has more than 2,500 services grouped into six business streams such as Industrial Services, Mobility, Products, Academy, Systems and Digital Transformation & Cybersecurity. In Spain, it has more than 30 years of experience and is present across 14 offices and 25 PTI stations located in Madrid, Castile-La Mancha, Murcia, Basque Country and Navarre. The presence of TÜV Rheinland in Catalonia with industrial services, systems and academy services will now be complemented by the Mobility business (PTI service).
