Media Advisory: Change of Command at Canadian Expeditionary Force Command
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 08/30/11 -- The Commander of Canadian Expeditionary Force Command, Lieutenant-General Marc Lessard, will relinquish command to Lieutenant-General Stuart Beare during a change of command ceremony on Thursday.The Chief of the Defence Staff, General Walter Natynczyk, will preside over the ceremony.
Details of the ceremony are as follows:
There will be a brief media availability following the ceremony, during which time the new Commander of Canadian Expeditionary Force Command, Lieutenant-General Beare, will be available to take questions from the media.
Media wishing to attend are requested to pre-register no later than 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2011, by contacting Captain Jennifer Stadnyk, Canadian Expeditionary Force Command (CEFCOM) Public Affairs, at 613-993-6250.
Media should arrive at the Cartier Square Drill Hall no later than 10:30 a.m. on September 1, and will be required to show their media credentials.
