Ruukki chosen for extensive frame contract for industrial premises in
Norway
(Thomson Reuters ONE) - Press release 23 September 2009Ruukki has been chosen to be the steel structure contractor forproduction facilities to be built for Norway-based Framo EngineeringAS. Ruukki's delivery includes frame structure design, manufactureand installation. The value of the deal is almost EUR 4 million.The lead contractor and Ruukki's customer in this project is VeidekkeEntreprenør AS and the new facilities will be built in the islandmunicipality of Askøy near the Norwegian city of Bergen. Framo (FrankMohn AS) manufactures products for the oil and gas industry. The newproduction facilities will total around 15,000 of floor space.The frame will be optimised using Ruukki's own design solution togive a best-value end result and good structural performance.Professional project management will ensure seamless cooperationbetween structure design, manufacture and installation. This in turnwill ensure top quality and reliability, as well as enhance workingsafety at the construction site.Installation of the frame will start at the beginning of January 2010and will be completed by the end of May.
