(PresseBox) - Gold is the most corrosion-resistant of all precious metals, next to platinum. Even when exposed to demanding weather conditions for a very long time, it does not corrode. The contact properties remain unchanged. The extraordinary resistance makes gold the ideal material for electrical contacts.
