Signal-Construct supplies IR modules and components for a wide range of applications
(PresseBox) - The LED housings of the types SML, SMP and SMK in the installation diameters 6 and 8 mm are not only available with LEDs in the visible range but also with IR LEDs of the wavelengths 850 and 940nm.
The 8mm types have a screwed-on cap made of chrome-plated brass with a specific glass insert sealed with an O-ring, while the lens of the 6mm housing is inserted waterproof with colorless-transparent special epoxy.
The large 22mm housing has a cap made of highly transparent and UV-resistant polycarbonate, which is also sealed with an O-ring. It offers enough space to accommodate various components such as controls, sensors or even a mini camera module.
When installed, all housings comply with protection type IP67 from the front and are also available as fully encapsulated modules if required.
Infrared diodes for PCB assembly are available as line-modules and arrays.
Particularly noteworthy are the DAS3 and DAS5 versions produced exclusively by Signal-Construct, with which leaded IR diodes are available on special spacers in blister tapes for SMD processing on automatic pick-and -place machines.
In addition, there are a variety of processing options for all types of THT LEDs in the field of IR- and photo-diodes.
