No Interruptions due to Power Failure in Low Voltage Grids

No Interruptions due to Power Failure in Low Voltage Grids

ID: 616088

UPS systems of the German manufacturer J. Schneider Elektrotechnik are perfect suitable to achieve online dynamic grid stabilization according the standard VDE-AR-N 4105

(PresseBox) - Standard  VDE-AR-N 4105 covers systems which are directly connected to grid: photovoltaic systems, CHP plants (combined heat and power units), wind and hydro power generation units, Stirling generators, fuel cells and asynchronous generators. It applies to generators with a total maximum active power (? PAmax) of up to 135 kW, independent of the network LV or MV voltage levels

The latest VDE-AR-N 4105: 2018-11 defines the dynamic grid stabilization. The network stability or isolation from the grid must also be secured if any voltage sags or peaks should occur.

Providing the input voltage is within the parameters of the generating unit or voltage storage, system disconnection must not occur in less than 3 seconds.

Equally in the event of any under voltage, coupling switches  must remain energized for three seconds to compensate for any power system events such as voltage transients.

As long as the input voltage is within the defined voltage range of the generating unit, or the storage, disconnection from the system grid must not occur.

SOLUTION:

Using the J Schneider, Online Dynamic Grid Stabilization (ODGS) the following generating and storage solutions are comfortably achieved as follows:

Avoidance of under voltage malfunctions, as ?ONLINE? capacitor based a UPS system is employed to ensure the operation of coupling switches or contactors. This ?Online? system ensures a continuous power supply without any potential interruption due to power failure. The unique and well proven J Schneider, Type AC C-TEC and C-TEC series devices are well acknowledged as the solution.
