Optimal adhesion with the push-button principle

(PresseBox) - The common problem with velcro tape is the use of felt, as it causes issues down the line in the event of moisture and soiling. The new velcro tape from Herth+Buss uses the push-button principle so that optimal adhesion only takes place after pressure is applied to create a connection. A connection that is invisible from the outside and can be detached again, completely free from felt!

With the velcro tape from Herth+Buss, a controllable connection can be created that is invisible from the outside, yet extremely secure. Panels, covers or components that have to be detached and joined again quickly and easily for replacement in the event of assembly work, maintenance or repairs, can be fixed in place with the velcro tape. The velcro tape can be interconnected as desired longitudinally and transversely, is self-locking and therefore represents a ?one-tape

sealing system?. This avoids the familiar disadvantages with conventional fastening systems: No laborious work with screws or rivets and no visible holes that impair the visual appearance of a surface. The materials that can be bonded with the velcro tape include many plastics and plastic foils, metal, wood, stone, ceramic, glass and painted parts.

The synthetic rubber adhesive used is characterised by a strong immediate adhesion, as well as an optimal bond strength on low-energy surfaces such as PP, PE and powder-coated materials. An adhesive strength of 35 N/cm² is specified for the tape. This means that the velcro tape can hold a weight of 3.5 kilograms per 1 cm². For an optimal adhesion, the parts specialist Herth+Buss recommends loading after 30 minutes at the earliest and preferably after at least two hours.
