TheSelwyn Lake property includes 13 claim blocks covering 1,219 hectaresand is located in the Selwyn Lake Township of the Thunder Bay miningdivision, province of Ontario. The property is accessible by road andlies four kilometres from a railway. The anomaly was identified in 1996by the Ontario Geological Survey and confirmed with further samplingin 2002 showing mineralization of rare earth elements (REE) with veryhigh iron and thorium counts. The multi element (REE) rareearth element anomaly includes 10 lakes on three drainage systems.The Selwyn Lake anomaly is similar in size and element association tothe lake sediment anomaly at Strange Lake rare earth element projectof Quest Uranium in Labrador. The Selwyn Lake sediment anomaly islocated astride a splay in a regional structural zone that has beenthe focus of earlier granitic intrusives. The area has potential forrare earth and Olympic dam-style mineralization.
