mediCAD offers 3D printing via the new service portal - mediCAD® Services

(PresseBox) - 3D printing technologies have already helped various industries to take a boost in development. In medical technology, too, this visualization technology has been shown to help clinics develop tailor-made surgical approaches for patients. With the continuous development of technologies and the increasing complexity of orthopedic procedures, the need for better surgical preparation has also increased. mediCAD Hectec GmbH has been involved in the automation of preoperative OR preparation processes for years with its preoperative digital planning software solution - mediCAD Now, the company has also dedicated itself to the next step in surgical preparation and is offering the possibility to order realistic, patient-specific pathologies andspecific anatomical regions as a 3D model via its new portal - mediCAD® Services.

Whether via direct integration in the mediCAD® 3D software or through the service portal mediCAD® Services (https:\\services.medicad.cloud), the user can save, export and upload their segmented anatomical region as an .stl file to mediCAD® in a user-friendly ordering process. The customer can then choose between two different materials for the 3D print and will immediately receive a binding quote. After triggering the ordering process, mediCAD guarantees delivery of the 3D printed model within 2-4 business days (within Germany).
