Mini-Embedded PC with NXP® i.MX8M SoC and PI Pin Header
(PresseBox) - With the new ME1-8MD series, ICP Germany is launching three affordable embedded system variants. The entry-level ME1-8MD-1G8G is equipped with an NXP® i.MX8M Dual Cortex-A53 with 1.3GHz clock frequency, 1Gb LPDDR4 onboard RAM and 8Gb eMMC memory. The standard ME1-8MD-2G16G model has the same i.MX8M SoC, two Gb LPDDR4 onboard RAM and 16Gb eMMC memory. The performance version ME1-8MD-4G32G is equipped with a Quad Cortex-A53 with 1.3GHz, four Gb LPDDR4 onboard RAM and 32Gb eMMC memory. The internal 40 pin Raspberry PI pin header is available in all three versions with a 10 pin GPIO connector, four Digital IN, four Digital Out, 5Volt and Ground. In addition, each variant has an additional Micro SD slot, a Mini PCIe full size slot with PCIe and USB signal attached, a USB2.0, a RS-232/422/485, a HDMI, a GbE LAN connector and two USB3.0 ports. The performance version on the other hand is delivered with two GbE LAN ports and dual display with one HDMI and one display port each. All variants are operated with 12 Volt DC voltage and comply with the strict radio interference limits of class B. The ME1-8MD can be used in a temperature range from 0 °C to 55 °C due to its fanless design and its case size of 140x100x39 mm. Both Yocto 4.14 and Android 9 are available as standard board support packages.
