Purina(R) Pro Plan(R) Rally to Rescue Stories Contest
(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 09/06/11 -- The Purina® Pro Plan® Rally to Rescue® Stories Contest honors rescue pets that have overcome tremendous odds thanks to the constant support and dedication of small pet rescue organizations. Stories from Rally to Rescue groups all over the country were submitted and a judging panel selected the 10 most inspiring stories as finalists.
Through Oct. 3, pet lovers across the country have the opportunity to participate in the nationwide contest by visiting to view the 10 finalist stories and vote for their favorite. The winning rescue organization, pet and owner will win a trip to Philadelphia and receive VIP treatment at the National Dog Show presented by Purina®. The winning pet rescue organization also will be rewarded with $5,000 in Purina® Pro Plan® brand pet food coupons to help support their continued care for animals in need.
Since 2005, Rally to Rescue and its Ambassador Rescue Organizations have successfully found homes for more than 400,000 homeless animals, and their goal by year end is to reach 500,000 adoptions. In addition, in the past two years alone, Pro Plan® has provided more than $1 million in support of the Rally to Rescue program.
