institutions

Recently we havecompleted several 'green' data centres in Germany. Because of ourknowledge and references in all the required competences, Imtech isable to provide 'green' total technical solutions.'Continuity and security of financial transactionsMore strict requirements imposed by De Nederlandsche Bank (NationalDutch Bank) to enhance the continuity and security of financialtransactions in the Netherlands have necessitated investments toexpand capacity and improve the security in data centres of financialinstitutions. Another reason why the investments are required is theincreasing intensity of digital payments. Extra capacity minimisesthe risk of unexpected failures and thus makes it possible to offercustomers optimum service.'Green' technologyImtech is responsible for the detail engineering and implementationof all 'green' technical solutions, including the complete powerfacilities (central energy supplies, power systems, medium voltage,switching gear and distribution equipment), the energy managementsystem and innovative cooling. This also includes all the integratedelectrical and mechanical solutions. Imtech will also take care ofthe technical equipping of the computer rooms that house thousands ofconnected and mutually integrated computer servers. The objective isthat all technical solutions are as energy-efficient and assustainable as possible in order to meet the European guidelines inthis field amply. These solutions result in relatively low energycosts and extremely limited CO2 emissions.Total safety and security solutionsImtech will also provide the complete safety and security, amongwhich all the no-break power supplies. These ensure that allprocesses continue uninterrupted at all times if there is an outageof the main supply of the electricity company for any reasonwhatsoever. Underground fuel storages will also be installed to whichgenerators will be connected capable of delivering on a stand-alonebasis the energy supply. All technical facilities related to theprimary process will be designed redundantly, thus providing extraguarantees for secure and uninterrupted operations.
