(PresseBox) - In order to further optimize the activities surrounding its own cloud services for the benefit of the customers, STW is handing over responsibility for this business area to Modern Drive Technology GmbH (MDT), a company which is part of the Wiedemann Group.

STW is restructuring its Digital Services business area. MDT, which was founded in 2002 and is based in Neumarkt i.d.Opf. (Germany), will in future handle the maintenance and further development of STW's cloud services machines.cloud and machines.access. This is part of the ongoing optimization process within the Wiedemann Group (parent company of STW), to which MDT has also belonged since 2019.

MDT is specialized in end customer processes and cloud services. Customers will benefit from the company's expertise and its team of experts in the future. On STW side, Rebekka Weihele, Group Leader Digital Services, will continue to coordinate customer projects in cooperation with MDT. "With the expertise of MDT, we can support our customers and partners even more comprehensively than before. Potential can be identified and leveraged more quickly. I look forward to the close cooperation with my colleagues," says Wolfgang Hager, Director Connectivity & Data Management at STW.

The transfer of the projects is also a pleasing development for the company from Neumarkt i.d.Opf.: "This cooperation opens up further markets for us. In recent years, manufacturers of mobile machines have already taken major steps in the direction of digital services and business models. We look forward to taking the final steps towards fully digital agriculture, construction and forestry with STW's customers and future prospects," says Johannes Stephan, Managing Director at MDT.

So when it comes to automation and digitalization of mobile machines, STW customers will benefit from even greater know-how and higher capacities in the future.

As an internationally-active company with its headquarters in Kaufbeuren, we have stood for the digitalization, automation and electrification of mobile machines for 35 years now.
