New industrial network solution Digi IX15 combines gateway and router
System vendor and specialized hardware provider Bressner Technology expands its portfolio with the Digi IX15 gateway and mobile router solution
(PresseBox) - Bressner Technology, a leading provider of hardware and software solutions, expands its IoT portfolio with the Digi IX15. It is the only fully functional industrial cellular gateway with Zigbee support. The Digi IX15 serves as both a gateway and a router, providing mission-critical applications with a suitable network platform.
By combining a programmable gateway and router, the device provides an alternative to chip-down DIY designs for network operations. The Digi IX15 connects Digi XBee® modules to cloud applications via cellular or Ethernet and provides the easiest path to network connectivity for the Digi XBee ecosystem hardware, software, services and configuration tools.
The router boosts performance in the Digi XBee® ecosystem including modules, code libraries, as well as the Digi XBee® tools suite. The IX15 features the latest Python programming implementation, bringing greater reliability, simplicity and security to edge computing applications and simplifying all phases of the product development lifecycle.
Certified for use in Class 1 Division 2, with a rugged enclosure and an operating temperature range of -40° C to 74° C, the Digi IX15 is suitable for harsh environments in oil and gas exploration, water/wastewater, solar, agriculture, and other industrial sectors.
The Digi IX15 can be controlled seamlessly with the Digi Remote Manager®. This cloud-based solution enables easy setup, mass configuration, provisioning, maintenance, monitoring and management of mission-critical devices and assets from a single desktop, tablet or smartphone. In case of a primary network failure, Digi Remote Manager also provides secure terminal access for out-of-band management of edge devices via serial port, as well as a command line interface.
