Tagged Meets Political Season With New Social Game Where Players Are Candidates, "Elections"
Tagged Game Studio Grows, Welcomes Veteran Art Director
(firmenpresse) - SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/08/11 -- Just in time for the onset of the political season, , the social network for meeting new people, today officially launched Elections, its latest social game. Elections is a playful team-based, event-driven game that focuses on collaboration and making new friend connections.
In Elections, players are assigned to one of three "parties." Through teamwork and strategy players earn votes for their respective teams. At the end of the round the votes are tallied and one of the teams is declared the winner. Each election lasts for 30 days and then a new one begins. The event-based structure of the game creates added tension and fun for the players, driving them to collaborate to earn votes as fast and efficiently as possible.
Elections is Tagged's first social game launch since the recent inception of its in-house Game Studio. Leading the charge for the Game Studio is Andrew Pedersen, Vice President & General Manager, Social Games.

Elections joins an array of Tagged social gaming options, including hit game Pets, which now generates almost six million unique trade interactions every day. In related news, Tagged has more than doubled its in-house Game Studio from eight to 20 employees since May. New team members include Art Director Jason Kaehler. Kaehler joins Tagged with two decades of industry experience at companies such as Maxis/EA, Midway and 3DO.
