Compact AI half-size system with Intel® Xeon® processor
(PresseBox) - With the PAC-400AI-C236 system, ICP Germany is launching a compact half-size IPC system that offers XEON® computing power, has space for FPGA, VPU or TPU accelerator cards and has a housing size of only 269 x 140 x 231 mm (LxWxH). The PAC-400AI-C236 consists of a navy blue chassis in which the PICMG 1.3 half-size slot CPU card HPCIE-C236 does its work next to the 5 slot backplane. The computing unit is equipped with an Intel® C236 server chipset and an Intel® Xeon® E3-1275 v5 Quad Core processor with a base clock frequency of 3.6GHz and a turbo frequency of 4.0GHz. Two 260 pin DDR4 SDRAM slots can accommodate up to 32GB of memory with or without ECC error correction. Two times 8GB of ECC memory are pre-installed from the factory. In addition to the VGA port with Full-HD resolution, the PAC system offers an iDP port, which can be expanded with optional add-on cards to include common display outputs such as HDMI or Display Port. The iDP interface supports resolutions of up to 3840x2160 pixels. For mass storage, an mSATA slot and a 3.5" SATAIII drive bay are available. Furthermore, the system offers an Intel® i219LM with AMT 11 support and an Intel® i211AT Gigabit LAN port, two USB 3.2 (Gen1) and two USB2.0 slots. Two third-generation PCI Express slots are available for expansion cards. The system offers one x16 and one x4 slot on the backplane. For example, FPGA, VPU or TPU AI accelerator cards from the Mustang series can be used on both. The PAC400AI-C236 is equipped with a 250 Watt full range power supply and can be operated in a temperature range from 0 °C to 50 °C. On request, ICP Germany can supply the PAC-400AI-C236 as a ready-to-use system with suitable mass storage and operating system.
