Omnicare Announces Pricing and Increased Size of Offering of 7.75% Senior Subordinated Notes Due 2020

COVINGTON, Ky., September 15, 2011 -- Omnicare, Inc. (NYSE: OCR) (the "Company")
today announced that it has priced its public offering of an additional $150
million aggregate principal amount of its 7.75% Senior Subordinated Notes due
2020. This represents a $50 million increase in the previously announced size of
the offering.  The Senior Subordinated Notes were offered at a public offering
price of 100.25%, plus accrued interest from June 1, 2011.  The Company expects
to close the transaction on September 20, 2011, subject to customary closing
conditions.

The Company expects to use the net proceeds from the offering of the Senior
Subordinated Notes to redeem the remaining outstanding portion of its 6.875%
Senior Subordinated Notes due 2015 and the remaining outstanding portion of its
6.125% Senior Notes due 2013, and to use any remaining proceeds for general
corporate purposes.
