Two new large load carriers for large-volume packaged goods
(PresseBox) - Safe and efficient transport of large-volume packaged goods, with the new MegaPack ALPHA 1500 x 800 and BETA 1800 x 800 from Söhner Kunststofftechnik. The foldable plastic transport containers measuring 1500 x 800 x 800 mm and 1800 x 800 x 800 mm combine a large useful volume with ergonomic handling and high-volume reduction.
With the MegaPack ALPHA 1500 x 800 x 800 and MegaPack BETA 1800 x 800 x 800, the packaging manufacturer from southern Germany has added two large-format standard solutions to its range of foldable large load carriers. Due to the large useful volume of 667 liters or 748 liters and a payload of up to 350 kg, the plastic containers are suitable for transporting large-volume automotive components with comparatively low weights, such as seat frames, paneling and wiring. But lightweight parts from mechanical and plant engineering, electrical appliance technology or the aerospace industry also find room in the spacious large load carriers.
High volume reduction with the MegaPack ALPHA
The MegaPack ALPHA measuring 1500 x 800 x 800 mm is made up of three components: a 9-foot twin-sheet pallet, a folding sleeve and a twin-sheet lid. Thermoformed pallet feet ensure that the pallet is stackable and nestable. By nesting the pallet and folding its sleeve, the volume of empty containers can be reduced by up to 75 percent for storage and transport. To prevent the pallet bending during handling with forklift trucks at this length, it can be reinforced with steel struts. Two optional handle loops improve the lid’s handling.
Simple, intuitive handling with the MegaPack BETA
The MegaPack BETA measuring 1800 x 800 x 800 mm can be assembled and disassembled quickly and easily despite its size. It can be folded by a single worker in a few seconds. The folding sleeve is folded and tucked away between the pallet and the lid. Two recessed handles make the lid easier to move. The MegaPack BETA also has a waterproof lid, as it does not have any locking bars. The folding sleeve is fixed in place by latches on the inside of the lid.
Optimum utilization of truck transport for full and empty containers
Both new large load carriers can be accessed from four sides and come in a system height of 800 mm as standard. This offers the advantage that a stack of 3 can make optimum use of a truck’s internal height. The system’s folding also guarantees a high utilization of the loading volume when returning or storing empty containers.
