(PresseBox) - The new optrel softhood is a respiratory protection hood based on the principle of overpressure. The softhood can be used in combination with either of the two optrel respiratory protection systems; e3000x or suppliedair. The continuous supply of purified air leads to an overpressure in the softhood that prevents hazardous contaminated air from entering the breathing zone. The softhood is used for all work where increased protection against dust, aerosols or gases is required.
Fresh air in dusty environments
In today's world, respiratory protection is more important than ever. There are jobs where protection against dust or spray mist is indispensable. But not only protection from external influences, but also compliance with H&S regulations in environments such as those in the food and beverage industry require special requirements. The optrel softhood meets precisely these requirements. It provides protection for various non-toxic tasks in dusty environments. It is ideally suited for use in paint shops, the manufacturing industry, wood processing, the food industry, mining or e.g. agriculture. The use with the e3000X respiratory protection system, with the A1B1E1 gas filter if required, offers the advantage that it can be used anywhere thanks to the 18-hour power battery.
Easy to use
The wide panoramic visor with anti-fog coating ensures an unobstructed view. Made of lightweight nylon fabric, the headgear fits quickly and easily to all head sizes thanks to a comfortable elastic rubber seal. This also makes it very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The optrel softhood is available in both a short and a long version. The short softhood is ideal when the focus is on acoustic perception, while the long version additionally covers the entire neck and shoulder area in case of increased dust exposure.
Easy breathing thanks to overpressure
The slight overpressure in the optrel softhood ensures the wearer's comfort even during longer periods of wear. Due to the higher pressure in the respirator compared to the environment, no harmful substances can penetrate into the wearer's breathing air. The overpressure also has the further advantage that breathing in is made easier compared to dust masks, thus increasing performance. The softhood is used in combination with either of optrel's e3000X or suppliedair respiratory protection systems.
