OC-ALA to Host Volunteer Day at the Blind Children's Learning Center -- 10/8


(firmenpresse) - SANTA ANA, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/12/11 -- Planting a sensory garden for the blind will be among the activities of the 30 participants at the Orange County Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators' Volunteer Day on Saturday, October 8 from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Blind Children's Learning Center located at 18542-B Vanderlip Avenue in Santa Ana.

Members, Business Partners and families of OC-ALA will beautify, paint, refinish and refurbish the toddler playground at the BCLC, and will plant a sensory garden, which is intended to highlight the sense of smell and touch for people who are visually impaired.

"Members of OC-ALA are honored to have the opportunity to roll up our sleeves and give back to the Blind Children's Learning Center," says Sheri Clifton, OC-ALA Board President. "The BCLC does a fantastic job of preparing blind and visually impaired children to matriculate into a mainstream school environment, and we are thrilled to help make a change and improve their outdoor facility."
