VECTED, specialist for thermal imaging technology, introduces a new camera generation in 2022
The 640-60 from VECTED as attachment or target device ©VECTED(firmenpresse) - VECTED introduces two new high-performance thermal imagers, the 640-50 and 640-60. They come with a sensor resolution of 640x480 pixels and 50mm respectively 60mm focal lengths. The devices are suitable both as observation devices as well as attachments in front of a riflescope or as target devices for mounting on a weapon alone.
Operating in the 8 to 14 µm (LWIR) range, the devices have fields of view of 8.8° x 6.6° / d 11.0° (50s) and 7.3° x 5.5° / d 9.1° (60s), which are projected onto a 640x480 respectively 1280x960 pixel display. With a sensor NETD of less than 40 milli-Kelvin, the uncooled, compact devices, weighing less than 600g, are highly sensitive and can detect people at distances of up to three kilometers. Of course, both devices have state-of-the-art features such as an USB-C interface for charging or outputting live video to an external monitor, can take photos and videos and store them internally, and optionally communicate via Bluetooth or Wifi.
Development and production in Germany
VECTED develops and manufactures the thermal imaging devices at the company’s headquarters in Fürth, Germany. Due to the outstanding image quality users can detect potential targets much earlier and identify them reliably. The devices are explicitly designed and developed in such a way that customer-specific reticles, menu scope, menu sequence, key assignment of the quick access keys or special false color displays can be implemented without additional expense. Thus, the 640 devices from VECTED represent currently one of the most powerful devices in this class worldwide.

VECTED GmbH can be perfectly described as a "hidden champion". Since 2005 we have been working as a developer and supplier of subcomponents and complete devices in the fields of thermal imaging technology and outdoor ballistics for large and well-known brands worldwide.
As OEM we were able to produce and sell several thousand thermal imaging devices successfully to well-known customers. Therefore we decided in 2019 to also distribute our devices with our own brand, primary to government agencies. The devices, including the electronics and image processing, are developed and produced at the company’s headquarters in Fuerth, Germany, with a focus on the use of European key components. Therefore our devices are not subject to ITAR.
Due to this high degree of in-house development, VECTED is able to react specifically and quickly to user requests and feedback and to offer customer-specific adaptations even for small quantities, for example a modified menu navigation, special false colors or customer-specific reticles.
