Smart systems and components to handle workflows in which embedded processors, sensors and network technology are included: cab has been pursuing this concept for many years. In Hanover, cab will exhibit units for printing and applying labels. Ten types of thermal transfer ribbons satisfy any operation. In addition, components or workpieces can be identified by cab fiber laser systems.
Meet all demands of industrial labeling(firmenpresse) - cab products integrate highly adaptable to automation lines. Most recently, cab has further developed the XD printer concept, enabling continuous materials such as shrink tubes be printed on both sides. Two print heads are therefore installed side by side on a printer. cab will present print and apply systems capable of highspeed processing, even with products close to one another or variable data. Various applicators, or a robot, can be added to the print units of SQUIX models, but in particular HERMES Q. Depending on the operation, labels are pressed onto objects, rolled on along a conveyor, or blown by compressed air up to 20 centimeters to land on the designated spot on the surface of an object. Other systems enable cylindrical items be labeled around their bodies.
By integrating current cab products in a network, data printed on a label can be identified and assigned or recorded specific to manufacture or operators. The firmware integrates an OPC UA server. This enables, for example in a PLC, printer control or regulation. The PLC client helps labels be loaded, variable data on labels or printer settings be modified, and status information be requested, such as the number of labels or ribbon remaining. cab has just digitally modeled an interface to enable current cab printing systems, as well as applicators, be used immediately in automation and robotics solutions.
