In its current issue, the magazine “Medientechnik & Systemintegration“ tested the DVISplitter2 of Guntermann & Drunck GmbH. The small device of the DVI portfolio of the German manufacturer convinced the editorial staff with its high performance.

The editorial staff raised a question that occurs when planning projects regarding digital signage: How do digital image contents of the computer reach the display?
The testers found the solution in the DVISplitter2 of Guntermann & Drunck GmbH. The small device enables transmitting DVI image signals over up to 50 m. Additionally, the video signal is split to connect two monitors. “Due to digital transmission without loss“, the testers judged.
The editorial staff concluded: “We had no problems during the test – the image quality was not reduced over the implemented distance of 50 + 50 + 50 + 5 = 155 m, “. The DVISplitter2 enables a resolution of 1920 x 1200 (at) 60 Hz.
If two displays are insufficient, it is possible “to bridge150 m and control four monitors at the same time or operate eight separate displays with the same signal while using seven DVI Splitter2“, stated Mister Michel, editor in chief of “Medientechnik & Systemintegration“.
