Acquisition of Mossy Bayou Foods to Further Expected Revenue Growth Through 2012
(firmenpresse) - BATON ROUGE, LA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/15/11 -- Louisiana Food Company (OTCBB: LUSI), a purveyor of "Certified" Louisiana specialty food products, today announced that it has signed a letter of intent to acquire Mossy Bayou Foods, a South Louisiana-based specialty food manufacturer with regional distribution. LUSI targeted this company for acquisition, based on its intriguing South Louisiana-inspired family of products, including its signature product, Louisiana Swamp Scum Hot Sauce, as well as the potential for significant near-term growth. It is expected that a definitive agreement will be signed following the completion of due diligence efforts.
"Our company intends to develop and acquire product lines that are distinctive and relevant to the South Louisiana food scene, and we see huge potential for the Mossy Bayou products," said David Loflin, LUSI's President.
