Cambashi's Julie Fraser to Present at MESA International 2011 North American Conference

Julie Fraser, President and Principal Industry Analyst at Cambashi, will present two workshops and lead an Unconference session at the MESA International 2011 North American Conference. The first workshop is titled, MESA Metrics Makeover Contest Winner, and will focus on developing a best practices decision support process for maximizing profit and operational ability. Fraser will co-present this workshop with George Maxson from Cormetech, Darren Riley from Rockwell Automation, and John Jackiw from Alta Via. The second workshop is titled, Diagnose Challenges, Improve Outcomes and Deliver ROI with Performance Metrics. This workshop will focus on how to use performance metrics wisely and will interactively work through examples of how to set up a metrics program that links financial and operations metrics; calculate ROI on improvement projects; and diagnose and resolve a performance problem using metrics and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) techniques. Fraser will co-present this workshop with Darren Riley of Rockwell Automation, John Jackiw of Alta Via, Larry White of the Resource Consumption Accounting Institute, and Steve Kaplan of Murata Power Solutions.
Julie Fraser and Cambashi are passionate about ensuring production industries remain competitive. We help them understand and leverage modern information technology (IT) through research, writing, presenting and conducting strategic work with providers, buyers and funders of those IT solutions. Julie has led numerous research projects including three with MESA on operational metrics over the past few years. With over 25 years experience as a manufacturing systems industry advisor, Julie is President of US operations for UK-based analyst & market research firm Cambashi. Prior to joining Cambashi, Julie ran analyst firm Industry Directions. Prior to that, she was VP of Marketing for Baan Supply Chain Solutions, Senior Analyst on MES at AMR, and editor-in-chief of the CIM Strategies newsletter. Julie writes the monthly "Methods" column for Managing Automation. She is a member of ISA, Phi Beta Kappa, and MESA. Julie co-chairs MESA International's Metrics Working Group.
