U.S. Concrete Supports "Remember Them: Champions for Humanity" World-Class Monument

(NASDAQ: USCR) today announced that its subsidiary, Central Concrete Supply Co., Inc., has joined forces with Charles Pankow Builders, Ltd, a California-based building design firm, to support Remember Them: Champions for Humanity, the inspirational educational initiative sponsored by the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce Foundation in Oakland, California.
The Remember Them initiative is a multi-faceted project designed to inspire the public -- particularly younger generations -- to strengthen their personal commitment to humanitarian values and actions in their own lives and communities. The monument is one of the largest in the western United States. It features 52 feet long and 25 feet tall bronze sculptures of 25 influential figures who stood for peace, freedom and human rights.
U.S. Concrete's Central Concrete has been recognized at the "Justice for All" donor level. The company supplied 250 yards of high quality, environmentally friendly (EF Technology®) concrete mixes, including 100 yards of Colorfast EF®. These eco-friendly concrete products were used in the building of the project's concrete footings as well as the colored concrete slab for the four-piece sculpture.
