Network TAPs - a cost-effective solution to bring transparency and more security to the network infrastructure
NEOX informs at it-sa about possibilities and advantages of Network TAPs for different application areas
(PresseBox) - Once again this year, the it-sa Expo & Congress will bring IT security experts and companies together. NEOX NETWORKS will also be there from 25 - 27 October 2022. In Hall 7, Stand 106, the solution provider for network security will present, among other things, various TAPs as passive network components for the analysis of critical network data.
NEW: Secure TAPs with data diode functionality for increased security
With the help of Network TAPs, users can conveniently, reliably and without affecting the active network connection export all their data traffic as a copy and evaluate it with the appropriate tools. They get a complete overview of all transactions and their network data. NEOX offers suitable solutions for different environments.
The new NEOXPacketRaven Secure Modular Fiber TAPs are designed for use in critical environments (CRITIS). They have an additional optical isolator as well as optical filter (data diode functionality) and thus prevent accidental or intentional injections of data into the monitored network. "This makes our Secure TAPs especially suitable for business-critical applications and high-security areas with high requirements for securing sensitive data," says Timur Özcan, Founder and Managing Director of NEOX NETWORKS.
Virtual TAPs from NEOX for Docker environments
With the increase of virtual, cloud-based and hybrid environments in companies, the number of blind spots in the network has also increased, making the much-needed, 100% view of network traffic impossible. NEOXPacketRavenVirtual is a Virtual Network TAP. It provides physical and virtual security and monitoring tools with complete network visibility in virtualised private, public and hybrid cloud environments. "This allows users to see if they are currently at risk or have already been compromised."
Easy and intuitive to integrate, vTAP can now be used in Docker environments. The usual mirroring or tapping (tapping) of network traffic via the hypervisor means that critical traffic between Docker containers cannot be seen. NEOXPacketRaven vTAP supports the tapping of inter-Docker traffic, i.e. communication between microservices.
Besides TAP solutions of all kinds, NEOX also offers other network solutions, including Network Packet Brokers and packet capture or network forensics appliances. Together with NEOX, partner LiveAction will be represented at it-sa.
