SBA Mentor-Protégé Program Enables Federal Solutions Providers to Team Together on GSA Contract

(firmenpresse) - CHANTILLY, VA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/19/11 -- ALEX-AMERICAN SYSTEMS, a joint-venture partnership formed through the U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) approved Mentor-Protégé program, today announced that it has been awarded an 8(a) STARS II Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). The 8(a) STARS II GWAC is a multiple award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract designed to provide cutting-edge Information Technology solutions from award-winning 8(a) small businesses to federal agencies.

Contract awardees were selected for this contract based on competitive pricing, technical proficiency and industrial credentials. The contract offers simple to complex IT service solutions such as: IT help desk support, information assurance, cybersecurity, virtualization, IPV6, Web 2.0, and more.
