New Gift Cards for Romania’s Retailers – Thanks to New Partnership between PayPoint and Euronet Worldwide’s division epay

Together, they provide epay’s attractive gift card portfolio of renowned international and local brands from the areas of gaming, fashion, electronics, streaming, and betting to Romania’s retailers via API integration. The gift card and prepaid products from brands such as Steam, Holyo, OKTO, Betano and many more are now available to consumers at almost 20,000 PayPoint locations. In addition, PayPoint will offer exclusive promotional activities in terms of addition services for customers at the point of sale.
This means that the partner, who has been offering bill payment service for end customers as well as other added-value services since 2008, can expand its portfolio with lucrative gift card products. PayPoint’s retail partners can address new customer groups with these additional added-value services and generate impetus for growth.
At the same time, full-service payment provider epay, which is part of the global payment network Euronet Worldwide Inc. (NASDAQ: EEFT), will benefit from enriching its sales network for its products in the Central Eastern European region.
End customers in Romania can now buy gift cards for their favorite global and local brands from almost 20,000 PayPoint locations at Romanian retailers, thanks to the new partnership. The use of gift cards continues to increase—both for the customers’ own use and as gifts. They are an attractive alternative for those who prefer not to use credit or debit cards as payment methods. They work perfectly as a gift and will have their peak season in the upcoming festive period.
