Alert Logic to Broaden Product Portfolio and Expand Channel Partnerships
(firmenpresse) - HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 09/20/11 -- Alert Logic, the leader in delivering Security-as-a-Service for the cloud, today announced the expansion of its senior executive team with the appointment of Rohit Gupta as Vice President of Business Development. Gupta will report directly to Alert Logic CEO Gray Hall.
In this newly established position, Gupta is chartered with broadening Alert Logic's portfolio of Security-as-a-Service solutions for the cloud through new product partnerships with leading security technology vendors. Gupta also will lead Alert Logic's development of cloud partnerships with virtualization and cloud platform vendors, as well as new strategic channels and OEM opportunities.
Since closing a $12.6 million Series E financing earlier this year, Alert Logic has been aggressively scaling out its proven business model of delivering Security-as-a-Service for the cloud through a strategic channel of service provider partners with an expanded product and service portfolio. The company now has more than $22 million in annual recurring revenues, 1,500 customers, and an annual growth rate in excess of 40%. Last week, Alert Logic announced the launch of its Cloud Acceleration Partner Program (CAPP) -- opening Alert Logic's SaaS delivery model and service provider channel relationships to 3rd party security product vendors who integrate with Alert Logic's Security-as-a-Service platform.

Gupta comes to Alert Logic with strong security credentials, having worked with Trend Micro, Inc. and Imperva, Inc. in business development leadership roles. He has more than a decade of significant business development and alliance experience, most recently overseeing Trend Micro's partnership activities with VMware, Cisco and HP. His experience includes technology and channel/OEM deals and partnerships, both of which will be important in his position with Alert Logic.
