Starfish joins COVESA Alliance to accelerate the Future of In-Vehicle Payments

The alliance brings together organizations from across the globe to develop open standards and technologies for connected vehicles including in-vehicle, on-edge and in-cloud services.
COVESA aims to shape the future of connected vehicles and mobility ecosystems through initiatives such as Vehicle Signal Specification (VSS) and Common Vehicle Interface with W3C. The goal is to create a diverse, sustainable and integrated mobility ecosystem that connects buyers and sellers to achieve business goals and advance mobility.

These challenges include in-car authentication requirements based on payment industry standards such as PCI, FIDO, and PSD, as well as the need for tokenization to ensure interoperability and security. Additionally, an E-Wallet Solution is necessary for standardized, merchant-independent payment management. To address these challenges and facilitate the seamless adoption of various players in the ecosystem, including OEMs, merchants, and payment providers, Starfish will be contributing within the COVESA community.
