strong revenue growth and profitability in Q2
Eindhoven, September 26, 2011 - Catalis SE, the worldwide service provider
for the digital media and entertainment industry, is pleased to announce
its financial results for the second quarter and first half of 2011.
Following a positive first quarter, the Q2 results further confirm the
Group's return to profitability:
- Q2 revenues up 33.7% from EUR 5.6m to EUR 7.5m
- Q2 EBIT strong growth to EUR 0.3m (2010: EUR-1.4m)
- EBIT first half year of 2011 up to EUR 0.5m (2010: EUR -2.4m)
- Half year revenues increased by 12.9% to EUR 13.5m (2010: EUR 12.0m)
- Half year earnings per share EUR 0.01 (2010: EUR -0.07)
In the first six months of the fiscal year 2011, revenues of Catalis Group
were up 12.9% from EUR 12.0m in 2010 to EUR 13.5m. The EBIT increased from
EUR -2.4m to EUR 0.5m. In the second quarter of the fiscal year 2011,
revenues of Catalis Group were up from EUR 5.6m in 2010 to EUR 7.5m
representing an increase of 33.7% and its EBIT increased from EUR -1.4m to
EUR 0.3m, a significant improvement compared to the previous year's period.
Testronic has seen revenues for the second quarter of 2011 increase from
EUR 2.7m in 2010 to EUR 2.8m, representing an increase of 5.2%. Testronic
generated an EBIT in the period of EUR -0.1m (2010: EUR -0.2m). For the
first six months of 2011, revenues amounted to EUR 6.0m (2010: EUR 5.5m),
representing an increase of 9.5%. Testronic's EBIT for the first-half year
of 2011 amounted to EUR 0.0m (2010: EUR -0.2m). Testronic's business is
seasonal and historically a large majority of its earnings are made in the
second half of the year.
In the second quarter Kuju generated revenues of EUR 4.7m (2010: EUR 2.9m),
representing an increase of 59.4%. EBIT for the period Q2 showed a profit
and amounted to EUR 0.9m (2010: EUR -1.0m) and is the result of careful
cost control. For the first six months of 2011 revenues at Kuju amounted to
EUR 7.5m (2010: EUR 6.5m), representing an increase of 15.8%. Kuju's EBIT
amounted to EUR 1.2m (2010: EUR -1.7m). As no games were planned for
release in the first half year, DDP had an EBIT loss in the second quarter
of EUR -0.2m and EUR -0.3m in the first six months.
