Birgit Noggler appointed to the Executive Board of
IMMOFINANZ Group
The Supervisory Board of IMMOFINANZ Group yesterday appointed Birgit
Noggler to the position of chief financial officer as of 1 October 2011. In
addition to Eduard Zehetner, Manfred Wiltschnigg and Daniel Riedl, she will
become the fourth member on the Executive Board of this property investor
and developer.
This graduate in business administration and licensed tax consultant has
many years of professional experience: since November 2008 the 37 year-old
has headed the finance department of IMMOFINANZ Group and played a key role
in the implementation of the new planning and consolidation strategy. Prior
to joining IMMOFINANZ, Noggler worked in the consolidation department of
Raiffeisen Leasing GmbH and as a senior associate with
PricewaterhouseCoopers GmbH.
'I am pleased that the Supervisory Board followed my recommendation to
appoint Birgit Noggler to the Executive Board as CFO', commented Eduard
Zehetner, Chief Executive Officer of IMMOFINANZ Group, after yesterday's
Supervisory Board meeting. 'I am convinced she will be able to further
improve the professionalism and value of the company in her new function.
Birgit Noggler and I met shortly after I joined IMMOFINANZ and, since that
time, I have come to value her as a circumspect and effective head of our
corporate accounting department. In that critical phase she made an
important contribution to mastering the crisis and protecting our
liquidity. Last but not least, I am pleased that we now have a woman on the
Executive Board of IMMOFINANZ AG', added Zehetner.
Noggler on her appointment as Chief Financial Officer: 'I believe in the
success of IMMOFINANZ Group and am very pleased to have a more direct role
in designing the future of one of Europe's largest real estate companies. I
plan to define the role of the CFO as a fitness trainer for the company
and, in close cooperation with the operating departments, intend to support
the efforts to continuously increase shareholder value.'
