Support a Heart-Felt CauseThe children’s educational charity has a new video on its YouTube channel chronicling founder Chef Joey Morelli’s latest visit to Casa Hogar Pan de Vida, an orphanage in Querétaro, Mexico. The comedy food channel is focused on building the Joey’s Food Fight brand to support and raise funds for orphanages around the world.
Chef Joey Pays it Forward by Teaching Life SkillsChef Joey’s mission is to travel to orphanages worldwide where he will build kitchens and teach the orphans and organizers how to source and cook their own food. The campaign is intended to be both educational and self-sustaining, since teaching the children life skills is more effective and longer-lasting than simply giving donations.

During Joey’s Food Fight’s latest excursion to Casa Hogar Pan de Vida, Chef Joey taught 50 children and the staff how to create delicious culinary masterpieces with chorizo, chicken, and fresh produce, like puerco asado, carnitas, and shrimp fajitas. Outside the kitchen, there were learning experiences as well. In his conversations with the children and staff, Chef Joey realized that American news doesn't always accurately portray Mexican culture, often overlooking its positive aspects.
