Storick and Associates, an Office of MetLife, Joins Superheroes for Arc of Florida's 58th Annual Conference
(firmenpresse) - WEST PALM BEACH, FL -- (Marketwire) -- 09/29/11 -- invites community members to join us for our 58th annual "Arc of Florida" conference. The conference sponsored by , an office of MetLife, will take place at the Crowne Plaza West Palm Beach and benefit The Arc of Florida, a nonprofit charity whose mission is to improve the quality of life for persons with developmental disabilities.
The conference will kick off October 5 with an opening night reception at B.B. King's Blues Club in Cityplace. The following days' events will include a speech by keynote speaker Loretta Claiborne and attendees will have a chance to hear guest lecturers cover topics such as "Forming a Self-Advocacy Group," "Scholarships and Work Study Opportunities," "Bullying" and much more. Following the lectures, participants are invited to dance the night away at a Superhero Themed dance. The dance is also open to the public. Tickets are $15.00 per person and may be purchased online or at the door.
"We are really excited for this year's conference. This event is an opportunity for Arc members and Non-Arc members to listen to guest speakers, meet with other members, and really get a chance to see what it's all about. We also like to take a moment to thank the community for all the continued growth and participation," said John Finch, Chief Operating Officer.
This year's conference is sponsored by Scott Storick, CEO of Storick and Associates.
