("FSP", "its" or "our") (NYSE Amex: FSP), an investment firm specializing in real estate, announced today its acquisition on September 30, 2011 of an office building in Evanston, Illinois for a purchase price of $35,100,000. Completed in 2002, the building is located at 909 Davis Street, contains approximately 195,245 rentable square feet and is approximately 95% leased.
This acquisition brings our total portfolio of directly-owned properties to 35 containing an aggregate of approximately 6,943,060 rentable square feet.
Franklin Street Properties Corp., based in Wakefield, Massachusetts, is focused on achieving current income and long-term growth through investments in commercial properties. FSP operates in two business segments: real estate operations and investment banking/investment services.
