The Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, CIM, Joined the IDNR-TV's Mining Film Festival and ARCELOR MITTAL Mines Canada as Part of the Second Edition of This Upcoming Event!
(firmenpresse) - MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 10/03/11 -- It is with enthusiasm that the promoters of the Mining Film Festival said today that the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, CIM, had given its support as part of the 2nd edition of the IDNR-TV's Mining Film Festival to be held next Thursday, November 17, at Cinema du Parc in Montreal.
The Festival said that the Institute intended to be actively involved as a sponsor of the event that should take this year, an unexpected extent, due to a growing participation of key industry players as well as several colleges and universities. The CIM should moreover involve its extensive network in order to increase the strategic participation in this Festival that attracts more attention, not only in directly concerned communities but in different urban communities too, at a time when the development of natural resources is a spectacular avenue of economic development of the Province of Quebec, particularly with the Plan Nord of the Quebec government.
The Executive Director of the CIM, Jean Vavrek will also be given a Special Award Trophy that will add to the Tribute and Recognition that Arcelor Mittal Mines Canada award to various builders and pioneers in the development of natural resources.
PERMANENT EVENT
Before the success of the inaugural Festival in November 2010, the management of IDNR-TV reported that this cultural, economic and social special event will, obviously, become an event which may favor the permanent outbreak of many talents from different educational programs related to Earth Sciences as in mining engineering.
