Under theagreement, USAGC guarantees to purchase a minimum of 1,500translation pens each quarter for the coming year. The private company, which is not affiliated withany official US government entity or agency, started its web basedservice to provide an online registration for the US Green CardLottery Program back in 2003 and is now having over 20 million uniquevisitors per month. The Green Card Lottery is an official immigrationprogram of the US Government that offers annually 50,000 people andtheir families an opportunity to live, work and study legally in theUSA.
