SecurITe: x-tention Subsidiary Sets New Standards for Cybersecurity in Healthcare
Industry-Specific Solutions to Protect Patient Data and Systems

(PresseBox) - With the launch of SecurITe, the x-tention Group is expanding its commitment to cybersecurity and responding to the rapidly escalating cyber threats in the healthcare sector. With offices in Austria, the United Kingdom, and the United States, SecurITe operates internationally, supporting healthcare organizations worldwide with specialized security solutions. The goal is to enhance the protection of sensitive patient data as well as the resilience and availability of critical infrastructure, thus closing a growing gap in existing security systems.
Responding to an Escalating Threat Landscape
“More patient data is being stolen today than ever before,” says Manuel Nedbal, CEO of SecurITe. “The hackers’ success is a direct result of insufficient security investment and blind spots in existing security solutions. With the rise of AI applications, cloud computing, and increasingly fragmented IT environments, the situation is becoming drastically worse. SecurITe was founded to deliver a comprehensive, in-depth, and industry-specific response.”
Bernhard Aigenbauer-Binder, COO of SecurITe, adds: “Hardly any other sector is as affected by cyberattacks as healthcare – yet existing solutions leave blind spots in this complex market segment. With SecurITe, we are closing this gap, delivering end-to-end solutions and specialized security technology truly tailored to the healthcare sector. Thanks to years of experience in healthcare, we know how to seamlessly integrate cybersecurity solutions into hospital workflows. This is what we call Healthcare-Native Cybersecurity.”
Sumanth Gangashanaiah, CTO of SecurITe, explains: “Attackers often exploit vulnerabilities left unpatched for extended periods, especially in regulated industries where operational and compliance requirements delay updates. This can enable lateral movement, data exfiltration, and service disruption. Our approach is designed to finally give defenders the upper hand.”
Drawing on Experience from Leading Global Tech Companies
SecurITe Operations GmbH started its operations in June 2025 and is headquartered in Wels, Austria, with additional offices in the UK and the US. The team of around 20 experts combines decades of IT experience in hospital environments and critical infrastructure with in-depth cybersecurity know-how gained at companies such as Google, Intel, Netskope, and other Silicon Valley startups. This unique combination allows for the rapid and effective development of highly specialized cybersecurity solutions for the healthcare sector. SecurITe focuses entirely on cybersecurity for healthcare, aiming to close previously unprotected security gaps and stop attackers even after an initial breach.
A New Layer of Protection: Healthcare-Native Cybersecurity
The combination of decades of industry experience, top-tier cybersecurity expertise, and a rapidly evolving threat landscape presents a unique opportunity to deliver solutions that break attackers’ success. “The days when a data breach only led to a phishing call are long gone,” explains Manuel Nedbal. “Nowadays, attacks are targeted, automated, and persistent. And so is our solution.”
In cooperation with international market leaders and innovative startups, and by leveraging leading open-source technologies, SecurITe is developing a new generation of security solutions specifically designed for the complex IT environments of healthcare organizations. Early pilot customers are already adopting this technology, which will be officially available in early 2026.
