The price of gold is rising and rising. Investors in this country should also consider investing in gold.

Wealth is increasing worldwide. Germans have also become richer again in 2024. Saving seems to be in vogue in view of the manifold crises. Global financial assets amount to around 269 trillion euros, roughly twice as much as in 2015. For these surveys, Allianz looks at savings accounts, stock, bond, and fund holdings, as well as debt, on an annual basis. Real estate is not included. Americans rank first among the richest inhabitants. Each person owns around 311,000 euros, with debts already deducted. Switzerland, Singapore, Denmark, and Taiwan follow. Germany ranks 13th. The wealth of Americans is based on the fact that they like to invest in stocks and investment funds. German citizens, on the other hand, love their savings accounts.
But since Germans have been investing more in stocks and investment funds, their assets have grown more strongly than in the rest of the eurozone. American investment habits are therefore paying off. Looking at the price of gold and considering the Fed and increased inflationary pressure, another interest rate cut by the Fed in October seems likely. This would in turn benefit the price of gold. The US dollar is also weakening against the euro. Once again, there has been a government shutdown, which is causing the price of gold to rise.
How this will continue to affect the market depends on its duration and the political climate, which is tending to deteriorate. The price of gold is likely to remain the winner. Gold stocks also belong in a well-diversified portfolio.

The company also owns common shares in Dolly Varden Silver Corp. Good drilling results have just been reported from the Sakami gold project in Quebec.
